It was just wonderful being able to have lunch at the Bear Trapper Restaurant on Bear Lake Boulevard yesterday. I realized that Chris didn't know that the Bear Trapper was open for breakfast and lunch during the winter. Bear Trapper owner, Bill England, couldn't help laughing that there were a ton of signs letting people know they were open. Chris said "when you live here you don't look at the signs," so for the rest of you who don't look at the signs of our local merchants...you might be surprised at what is happening here.
We had great hamburgers smothered in mushrooms at a great price. Next time we'll have the chicken croissants which looked delicious, too! It is so much fun to take a minute in the middle of the day to go out to lunch in the Garden City area. I was amazed too, how many visitors had found their way there too and how delighted they were to see the cute Christmas decorations and the homemade jams and candies for sale.
Do go to our local merchants for unusual Christmas gifts, for a lunch or dinner and support them!
