RCTonline takes a break!

We'll be off line for a month!

But enjoy Jim's story and a great photograph from Carol Ann Dyer.

Pickleville Philosopher

Ed Note:  This was written before Jim left for Alaska and spent a winter in his truck with his two dogs.  Now he has a cabin and is writing more stories.  He really does follow his dreams.

By Jim Stone

Oh my goodness you guys. UPS just pulled in with my book.  It’s called Our Thoughts Become Our Lives.  I would be telling you guys a little white lie if I didn’t tell you that I've got tears in my eyes.  They are not tears of sorrow or sadness.  They are  tears of being overwhelmed with happiness.

You guys all know I can’t spell or punctuate very well.  Writing this book, I would have to compare it to life and climbing an almost unclimbable mountain.  Just about the time we almost get to the top, life and the mountain do their best two put a kibosh on us.

Jim's Cabin in Alaska
Falling on our faces sliding backwards, to me it seems that all we all can do is heal our wounds, get back up on our feet, stick our chests out while holding our chins up.  Then just put one foot in front of the other and start moving forward. Before long we have all passed the place where we fell, heading to the top of life and a mountain.

When we all get there, the sky is not the limit.  There’s nothing in life that is impossible, we all just have to dream big.   Then again one step at a time we start following our dreams.

Thanks all of you guys for supporting me and some kinda fun stories and books. I think this book is on Amazon and Kindle already.  I apologize for the long story, you guys, but that's kinda who I am and what I love to do.  I love to share fun stories with all of you guys.

Big smiles are contagious they go around the world.  Sending a big smile to all of you guys from all of us dogs.
