Notice is hereby given that the Town of Laketown Town Council will hold a public hearing at 6:00PM on Wednesday August 12, 2026, in the Laketown Town Office located at 10 North 200 East Laketown, Utah.  Following the public hearing the council will hold its regularly scheduled meeting

Laketown Town Council will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the Laketown Office located at 10 North 200 East Laketown, Utah.  The Town Council will hold its regularly scheduled meeting on this date after the public hearing. 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the purpose of this public hearing is to receive public comment regarding a proposed amendment to the Laketown Town Land Use Ordinance that would allow the creation of one-half (1/2) acre residential lots in designated areas outside the traditional town core where the current minimum lot size is one (1) acre.  The proposed ordinance identifies the areas where this change would apply and establishes the applicable development standards. 

The public is invited to attend and may give written or oral comments during the public hearing.  All public hearing items will be discussed and/or approved during the Laketown Town Council meeting following the public hearing.

With heavy hearts, we want to share that the traditional fireworks show that closes out Raspberry Days each year has been canceled due to the current fire concerns in our area.

We know this is a beloved part of the celebration, and we share in the disappointment of our community. However, the safety of our residents, visitors, and surrounding areas must always come first.

We are grateful for everyone’s understanding and support as we make this difficult decision. Raspberry Days will still be filled with the community, traditions, activities, and memories that make this event so special.
