85 years from Pearl Harbor

Dec. 2025 makes it 85 years from the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Most of the men and women who served during this time have left this life. Just thinking of my dad as a young sailor witnessing the death and destruction of life. He could never talk about that time.

Many wars have been fought since that infamous day. I hope that our nation will honor all veterans who were called to serve in the armed forces. Young men and women are still serving in hopes of saving the world or even themselves. They learn so much about the integrity or lack of from their officers.

I believe we are a nation of hope and a beacon of light to other people around the world. It just needs to start in our small communities and go forth in charity to respect and honor each other.

May this season of reflection influence us all for the good of mankind.
