Rich narrowly lost to Mountain View, Wyoming in a nonregion game, 14-13. Jasper Johnson put the Rebels on the board with a 65-yard touchdown run early in the third quarter. Brady Cornia provided a spark with an 85-yard kickoff return for a touchdown with 6:24 left in the fourth quarter to give Rich a brief 13-7 lead after one missed PAT.   GCFD Fire Board Opening      8/25/26

The Garden City Fire District is requesting applications for the Fire Board.  Applicants must be at least twenty-one years old, live within the district or be a secondary home owner.  This is a four-year appointment and requires board members to attend the monthly meeting held at 6:30PM on the third Monday of each month at the Fire Station.  The members must attend at least 7 of the 12 annual meetings and complete an on-line Local District Board Member Training session.  Previous board experience or working collaboratively with others, along with computer literacy, are desirable but not required.

If the position cannot be filled with a primary resident living within the district, then a secondary resident may be considered.  The secondary position will be required to attend as many meetings as possible in person; but could attend via telecon when out of town. The minimum annual attendance and on-line training remain the same.

Written applications can be dropped off at the Fire Station, with a board member or emailed to Randall Knight at mumknight374@gmail.com.  The position will remain open until an acceptable candidate is selected.  Randall Knight can be contacted to answer any questions or concerns.
