Notice is hereby given that the Town of Laketown Town Council will hold their regularly scheduled meeting at 7:00pm on Wednesday May 01, 2024 in the Laketown Town Office located at 10 North 200 East Laketown, Utah.

1.  Call to Order - Mayor Burdette Weston

5.  Approval of Prior Meeting Minutes

6.  QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS FOR MAYOR AND COUNCIL: Any person wishing to comment on any item not otherwise on the agenda may address the town council at this point by addressing the mayor and town council and giving his or her name and address for the record. Comments should be limited to not more than three (3) minutes, unless additional time is authorized by the mayor. Citizen groups will be asked to appoint a spokesperson. This is the time and place for any person who wishes to comment on non-agenda items. Some items brought forward to the attention of the town council will be turned over to the clerk to provide a response outside of the town council meeting.

Obituary-Thomas Leon Britton

 




December 26, 1948 — April 20, 2024

Thomas Leon Britton, 75, of Randolph, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024, at his home. Thomas was born December 26, 1948, in Whitefish, Montana to Wilbur Lee Britton and Mary Alice Schnieder Ellis . Thomas served in the US Army during Vietnam. Following his return from service he married Bonnie Black on December 3, 1976, in Evanston, Wyoming. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple.

Thomas worked for the Rich County Road department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, riding his Ranger around town and traveling. Prior to his passing he was able to travel to many places with his wife and family.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie; daughters, Bobbie Jo and Bonnie Jean; seven grandchildren; brothers, John and Jim Britton and sister, Charlene Walker. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Frank and Cliff Britton; and two sisters, Mary Ellen Jones and Katie Jones.

Funeral Services will be held at the Randolph LDS Chapel, at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 27, 2024. Viewing will be at the church, Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:45 am. Graveside memorial with Military Honors will be Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Randolph Cemetery.

RENDEZVOUS BEACH – CLOSED.
We are planning to open this facility on April 26th, weather depending. 
 
FIRST POINT – OPEN.
Open year-round.
 
CISCO BEACH – OPEN.
Open year-round.
 
RAINBOW COVE – CLOSED for construction.
ADVISORY:  We hope to have access to the launch ramp in early August 2024. 
 
SOUTH EDEN – CLOSED.
We are planning to open this facility on April 26th, weather depending.
 
NORTH EDEN – CLOSED for final construction tasks.
ADVISORY:  We plan to open this facility before May 24, 2024.
