It’s rough when your A/C, heating, and major appliances conk out.
Who can you get to repair them? And do a good job? Especially up here in Bear Lake.
Today I wanted to share my recommendation of two companies that have done a great job for us.
The first is JM Mechanical out of Hyde Park for HVAC work.
We love these guys.
We have in-floor heating. And the boiler we had installed when we built the house gave us nothing but trouble. It was constantly conking out. There’s nothing quite like freezing cold showers in the winter at Bear Lake. It was like we were in some kind of mad training camp to be Stoics.
And we tried to get it fixed. We worked with the company who sold us the dang thing. We worked with the original manufacturer. We spent thousands of dollars on technicians from Salt Lake, Park City, Ogden, and Logan. They were all nice guys but they could never fix the problem.
After years of this, we’d had it. We needed a fix.
Luckily, we’d had a recommendation for JM Mechanical from another person in the valley with in-floor heating. We called. They gave us a competitive bid, installed a new boiler, and it has run like a dream.
No more cold showers.
No more freezing inside the house as well as outside in January.
Just heat when you need it.
We liked their friendly service so much, we called them to see how they could help us with A/C. Again, we received a competitive bid, friendly technicians, and A/C that works like a dream.
If you need help with your HVAC, JM Mechanical comes up to Bear Lake one or two times per week. They provide great service. Their number is (435) 563-6267.
The second recommendation is for Cache Appliance out of Logan for appliance repair.
First of all, it’s owned by a man named Josh Sackett. The family legend is that Louis L’Amour was in Beaver looking at gravestones, saw the name, and rest is history.
But of course, could this Sackett save the day like the Sacketts in story? My experience is that they can.
We had two issues with our oven and range. Whoever installed it put in the jets for natural gas, not propane. Later, our oven’s heating element stopped worked. We thought about purchasing a new range, but, holy schnitzel, that’s thousands of dollars!
Couldn’t we just get a repair?
Some of you he-men are asking, well, why don’t you just fix it yourself? The answer is you don’t want me fixing appliances. I’ll burn the house down. Even with YouTube videos.
So we searched high and low for someone to help. We finally found Cache Appliance, which used to be part of another company in Logan. A friendly technician drove over and got our stove running like new.
We later had an issue with our dishwasher. Again, instead of purchasing a new one, we called Cache Appliance. It was a quick repair from a friendly technician at a reasonable price.
If you need help with your major appliances, call Josh Sackett of Cache Appliance at (435) 465-5962.
