Win two nights at Bear Lake

Well here we are in 2021!  How fast 2020 has gone bye even though it seemed extremely slow most of the time.  Last month I shared the Christmas Jar story and need to start our own jar by either a monthly donation or putting change some in a jar.  I also mentioned the sad news about the Matt and Laura Cluff family and needing help from the community.  Well, there circumstance even though improving isn’t over.  Matt is still in the hospital and Laura is hoping and planning on when he can come home and need to use a wheelchair.  As we all know the bills keep coming no matter what our lives situation is.  If I don’t get out of bed my monthly bills are $1500 for the basic stuff: electricity, gas, phones, TV, all the insurance coverage, taxes, and oh ya gotta have the internet.  Luckily no house or car payments.  I assume most of you got a $600 COVID stimulus check last week and might have a little left over that you might want to donate to the Cluff’s.  

There is the normal donation ways to the city office, library, envelope mailed through the drop box inside the post office, fire department and clergy.  Well, the Gifford’s are holding a raffle.  You might have seen it on social media sites to win 2 nights stay in their new rental property.  They advertise it as a Rustic Retreat.  It is far from rustic, new construction home in Snow Meadows that sleeps 40!  My COVID bubble consists of 10 people and we only meet with 2 of them at time.  I digress.

For $5 you can have a chance to win a two night stay! Naturally you can share it with friends and family.  For $50 you would get 10 chances to stay in their beautiful lodge that would normally cost a whole lot more than that.  I guess $500 - $1500 dollars.  The money collected will be donated to the Cluff’s.  

Here is what they posted on social media for specific information.  Remember January 20 is just a few days before Winterfest!!  The Bear Lake Monster polar plunge, chili cook off, and other activities on the 22-24^th.  What a change to have your family and friends come up for the weekend and enjoy the Winterfest or the many winter sports available.

 

Help a family in need!!! We will donate a two night stay in Bear Lake, Utah at the Bear Lake Rustic Retreat. (Stay will need to be off season and excludes holidays). Your name will be put into a drawing for each $5 you donate.  Multiple donations of $5 each are allowed. The name will be drawn on January 20th, 2021. Every dollar will go to the family.
