They are not fingerlings - they are 7-3/4" long but not only do the pelicans enjoy them but so do the rest of the trout that are in the lake - it is estimated that there is a survival rate of 40% but I guarantee it is more in the order of 10% max survival!
That is our state of Utah at work ~ lack of common sense!

All you need is to stock fingerling cutthroat and the pelicans,, seagulls, western grebe, loons and cormorants are back. A feast awaits them.
