Note About Solar Lights from Mayor Spuhler

Hello Business Community,

First thank you for everything you do for our town.  This is a picture of a solar light that we have had designed to add to the ambiance over our community. The light polls are 14 feet high made of steel with a powder coat so they will last. You can see on the attached light cutouts of various scenes including wildlife and activities we enjoy here at the lake. The other side of the light we have banners that we can attached which will advertise events like Raspberry, Heritage days etc.

We have twenty total lights and they will be made available on a first come first serve basis and also what we deem as makes the most sense. The lights and installation is at no cost to you. We would prefer to light the downtown area first and then add more as we can afford them. Over the last two years we have cut lighting expenses saving the city $15,000 or $700 each month.

The objective is to have that money go to provide increased lighting around town while adding to the beauty and the desire for people to Garden City.

Please contact Danny White at dannyw@gardencityut.us the if you would like a light.
Thank you again for all you do for our town,
John
