Cooking without egs-Homemade Twix candy bar recipie

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add in the flour and salt, mixing until a crumbly dough forms.
  2. Press the dough into the bottom of the prepared pan, using your hands or the bottom of a measuring cup to create an even layer. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
  3. While the crust is baking, prepare the caramel layer. In a medium saucepan, heat the sweetened condensed milk over medium heat until thick and caramelized, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
  4. Pour the caramel layer over the baked crust, using a spatula to spread it out into an even layer. Let the bars cool completely at room temperature.
  5. Once the bars have cooled, melt the chocolate chips and vegetable oil in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals until smooth and melted.
  6. Pour the melted chocolate over the caramel layer, using a spatula to spread it out evenly. Chill the bars in the fridge until the chocolate has set, about 30 minutes.
  7. Once the chocolate has set, lift the bars out of the pan using the edges of the parchment paper. Cut the bars into desired size and shape using a sharp knife, and serve.
