Burke Christensen
and his wife Louann live in Bear Lake during the summer. Their home is in Kentucky where Burke is a
professor of Business Law, Insurance Law, and Risk Management Law at Eastern
University in Richmond, Kentucky. Both
Burke and his wife graduated from Utah State University, after which Burke
attended the University of Utah Law School.
Burke is going to run his age, 67 miles,
around Bear Lake. He is soliciting
pledges as a fundraiser for the Garden City Library, Kentucky Riverkeeper, an
environmental group, and the S.J. Quinney College of Law. Burke has run in nine marathons, but this
is the longest marathon he has ever run!
The run will take place on Friday night,
August 2nd and finish at the Garden City Library parking lot on
Saturday, August 3rd. He will
start on the southeast side of the lake, be in Garden City the first time at
about 10:30 or 11:00 p.m., run north up the west side of the lake and into
Idaho at night into the morning.
He should arrive back at the finish line at the Garden City Library parking at approximately 9:30 a.m.

there is a sign up sheet in the library.
