Pulled Pork Sandwich at Some Beaches
By John Brown
I decided to try Some Beaches—a new fast food joint in Laketown, Utah—for my cheater meal this week.
I ordered the 2nd Point Sweet Pulled Pork sandwich.
Wow.
It’s loaded with tender pulled pork. A lot of it. To that they add a raspberry BBQ sauce that isn’t super smoky or overly sweet and a delicious coleslaw. And then they put all of that in between a ciabatta bun
.
The result is a juicy sandwich with a sweet, savory taste and a blend of textures. It’s one of the best pulled pork sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. A slightly messy, finger-licking good bonanza.
You should know that the sandwich is on the large side. I’m a big guy, and the meal stuffed me. I think there’s enough that you could go on a date and split the sandwich and sides and be happy. Two people filled with goodness instead of one.
They also have burgers, shakes, salads, and even a special slice of cheesecake. A lot of the dishes feature raspberries because, well, it’s Bear Lake, but also because it was created by the Floyds. If you don’t know the Laketown Floyds, they grow raspberries in the valley and have been bringing us Chad’s raspberry jams, sauces, and ice cream for years.
So if you’re looking for a great sandwich experience, give the pulled pork sandwich at Some Beaches a try. I think you’ll be happy you did.
