Thanks to all our wonderful EMS, Firefighters, and volunteers who helped with the wreck at the intersection. A big thanks for the neighboring state and cities who also helped.

 There is a new Brake check area being built right now 1 Mile above runaway truck ramp.. I am suggesting to UDOT that there needs to be a dedicated lane from the new brake check area to runaway truck ramp for semis to be in.

1)I have requested that US 89 coming into Garden City be temporarily closed for long haul semis until we find better solutions to keep our community safe…

2)We talked about Port of Entry at the mouth of Logan canyon coming from Logan..

3) More law enforcement at the brake check areas ..

4)flashing lights and more signage to run away truck ramp..

5) Another truck ramp with gravel coming into town..

Please reach out to me I would love to hear other solutions that we could take to UDOT… This highway is a federal United States Highway… Nothing can be done on the highway without permission from UDOT and Federal Highway commission..
