GARDEN CITY, Utah. Cindy Gooch, Funding Specialist, reported
that the UDOT grant for the 300 West project has been delayed two years because
of sequestered funding. Originally, the
grant was to be funded in 2016, but UDOT wants to move it to 2018 because of limited funds. Mayor Sphuler, Cindy Gooch, and the City
Engineer will meet with UDOT on May 23, 2013 to attempt to get the grant funded
for 2017, a one year delay.
The Culinary Water Master Plan for Garden City
is being prepared. Grants and other
potential sources of funding are being evaluated for the revitalization of
downtown Garden City.
