Thirteen year old Conner Bradley Turner of Draper, Utah donated $1,700 in cash and several hundred books to the Garden City Library in honor of his Uncle.  The books, including many new children's books, were sent to Conner from all over the United States.  Cathy Rassmussen, Garden City Librarian, is very excited about Conner's generosity.

"My Uncle, Michael Bradley, passed away January 12, 2013 in an airplane accident. His favorite place was Bear Lake, where we have had our family cabins for more than 50 years,"said the seventh grader at St. John the Baptist Middle School.

"In an effort to both keep his memory alive and help all the people who live in and visit Bear Lake for years to come, together with my Grandma Barbara Bradley, I am doing this on-going project in Mike's honor called “Books for Bradley”

Heather Bradley, Conner's mother, said that Conner wants to make this a yearly contribution and asks for donations to be sent to the Garden City Library at 69 Paradise Parkway, Garden City, Utah 84028 in Michael Bradley's name.

Conner's family has had their cabin in Bear Lake since 1957 and are special friends of the Library. Conner's grandmother donated the funds for two new Kindles for the library.  Conner has spent a lot of time here too when he is not studying, playing football or being on the swim team.
