Rula Jenkins Hansen April 4, 1923 - August 1, 2015
Our beloved mother, grandmother and friend returned to her Heavenly Father on Aug. 1, 2015.
Rula lived an amazing 92 years on this Earth creating friendships wherever she went. Rula's quick whit and silly giggle brought happiness to so many lives. There was never a time she was too busy to just sit and chat.
Rula was born April 4, 1923, in Auburn, Wyoming, and was the youngest of 10. She met and married the love of her life, Thomas Arden Hansen, on March 28, 1939. Rula and Tom were blessed with four children: Joyce (Arden) Nicholls, the late Gary (Judy) Hansen, Howard (Maria) Hansen and the late Tony (Robin) Hansen. They were also blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Rula and Tom made their life in Garden City, Utah, and the final years of Rula's life were spent in Logan, Utah, at the Terrace Grove Assisted Living Center.
Rula loved sewing, handwork, playing games, "Golden Girls," quilting and cooking. Her greatest love, however, was visiting with family and friends.
Although we grieve for our loss here on Earth, we are celebrating Mom's reunion with Dad, her sons Gary and Tony and her parents and siblings who have already passed.
We will miss you Mom.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015, at 2 p.m. with the viewing scheduled for the 2 hours prior. All services were held at the Garden City LDS chapel, 65 S. Bear Lake Blvd.
