GARDEN CITY, Utah. October 15, 2015.The Garden City Fire District board held its regular monthly
meeting in Garden City.
All members were present.
Chief Wahlberg indicated that efforts were proceeding to
meet the criteria established by the ISO to keep the district fire rating where
it currently is. He sees no problem with
completing each of the items necessary.
A draft budget was presented for 2016 and is not materially
different than that of 2015. A public
hearing on the 2016 budget is scheduled for Dec 4, 2015, at the fire station.
Board member Randall Knight expressed a desire to update and
modify the department’s policies and procedures manual, observing that many
items should be examined and/or adjusted, including the personal use of
department equipment and vehicles.
It was a quiet month in departmental activity, with 3 fire
alarms, 2 carbon monoxide alarms and 3 medical assists.
