Bear Lake Classic Cycling Race May 13-14

The Bear Lake Classic is running for the 13th consecutive year as an early-season (shoulder season) road cycling race and recreational half-century, combined as a fun event for all riders. NEW for 2016, we will start at Rendezvous Beach State Park, and reverse the route counter-clockwise. The event will also add a climb finish to the Bear Lake Summit!  Riders will have the option to either finish on the climb or a flat finish back to Blue Water Beach.

Our Friday Night Hill Climb, May 13 will take the same route as in 2013 and 2015, (Rocky Point turn-out at just over 3 miles) and we will have a special post ride meal for all participants at Cafe Sabor. The Friday night climb is short (less than 4 miles), yet challenging. Your legs should be good for the Saturday ride May 14.

We are still holding registration at long-time sponsor Blue Water Beach Resort and riders are encouraged to stay/camp and park at Blue Water Beach and gently ride to the start.  Cyclists can also park in a special section at the State Park.

We have some new sponsors in addition to our great historical sponsors Blue Water Beach, Al's Sporting Goods, Pepsi, Logan Race Club, ARS, Utah Public Radio, Cafe Sabor Cache Valley Bank and Intermountain Healthcare.  We thank them for their continued support in sponsoring the Bear Lake Classic.

As in the past, we will hold registration at Blue Water Beach at 2126 South Bear Lake Blvd. Garden City, UT. Blue Water also offers overnight accommodations and camping options - and FREE SHOWERS to all riders.  For reservations at Blue Water, call (800) 756-0795 or online at http://bearlake.com/bluewater/
