Oct. 5th, 2022 Rich County Commission Meeting

The Commissioners set the agenda and began with a discussion on a lot realignment for an Eastside Lake Development. The amended plat passed.

Angela and Wesley Suggs came in for a license for their ice machine business. They were referred to Garden City as that is where it is located.

Intermountain Health and Medicare Broker, Tyler Kelsey, presented a variety of plans for the Commissioners to review. Jared Briggs, from Randolph, also represents Medicare Clients in Rich County. He will give you advice and information on the best plans. The County is satisfied with their insurance from Hoffman out of Evanston.

Beth Smith from Bear River Mental Health reviewed the help that is available to the County for those in need. MCOT is Mobile Crisis Outreach which provides Peer Support to individuals who call.

Bear Lake State Park Superintendent, Richard Droesbeck, detailed the summer at Bear Lake. Bear Lake parks generated $2.4 million in income. Labor Day was the busiest Richard had seen in his six years.

Atlas towing has the permit for helping people at the marina.

Rendezvous Beach Park has new black top. Rendezvous Park will be adding new camp sites.

The Marina Expansion is being discussed with all of the groups involved. It takes a lot of time to get things done. There will be an open house on Nov. 16 to discuss the Marina Expansion.

The wells have been a problem that Rendezvous has to resolve.

There are 3 new dump stations at Rainbow Cove.

In the afternoon discussion was held on ordinances: Class D road closures, water health, and noxious weeds.

Leta Milera discussed her program for tracking short term rentals and thinks the county should update their system.
