Trudy Smuin captures the deep natural beauty of the "West Side" of the Bear Lake mountains. Other exceptional photographers of Bear Lake I follow focus on the water / lake primarily. What's different about Trudy is how she incorporates the vegetation. "Trees are the answer" is a phrase I picked up somewhere while attending college at Utah State in Logan, which I think couldn't be more relevant to the future of the Bear Lake area. Plant a tree today, you can do it as long the ground is not frozen...yes that includes mid-summer, late fall and early spring (your tree must be dormant in the shoulder seasons of fall / spring). Plant more trees, do it today!
