Garden City Town notes for May 11, 2023

 

Tami Leonhardt spoke about the Travel bureau for the Rich County Visitors Bureau.

Just Serve Coordinators for the Bear Lake Valley-Gwen & Craig  Lamborn asked the Council for input as to where the needs are to help.

Building Inspector-Glen & Tyler A year ago we had 37 Commercial buildings this year we have 8. The City has collected $51 K in Plan Reviews. There is now a program that tracks the work.

 Code Enforcement last year $30K collected so far this year 49 citations. $250 in parking to $12,000 in STR fines.  Parking issues need clarifying. New builds especially need to identify parking spots.

Item #4 Public Comments-Just thanks to our public works and volunteers who helped with the water situations.

Item #5 Business Licenses –Jared Hislop at View Realty-Approved

Zuma Printz-Ginger Stocking-Approved. Bear Lake Adventures & Lugging Stuff-Leo Spuhler-Approved

Item #7 Encumber Parcels  26 & 35 in Foothill Estates – approved.

Item #8 PID Bear Lake Vista-Chuck & Ernie-letter of intent for residential on the West side fir 8 mils and another PID 8 mils on the East side for Commercial. Infrastructure for the PID’s everything that is common area. Waiting on UDOT for slope determination. Phase 1 is good to go. The 6 Townhomes will be in the future development. Motion made to approve the PID. They will come back in 30 days with the permits. The commercial side has to have a wetland certification. Commercial PID denied.

The Fell up Elk’s Ridge  PID by Mitch-needs to go to P & Z. They want 8 mil PID. Denied.

# 9 Osprey Heights-Terry Eynon-extra work done for Mr. Parker. Stubs to his property and road to his property. Roads meet grade. Culdesacs are for accessing future properties. Initial conceptual plan done in 2000? Motion to approve preliminary concept.

#10 Public Hearing for STR new license fee $1200 renewals $900 per year. Almost 500 units. The software GoLo costs $40,000.

 Budgets are being set and opened. Upgrades for parks, roads, and water are being worked on all the time.

#11 Sub division minor lot adjustment on Long Ridge to provide water retention pond safety on lot A which is undevelopable.

#12 Rezone Sweetwater Townhomes 29 acers Tyson Lund P&Z last November. Parking requirements have been refigured.
