Rich
High School is celebrating an incredible Fall of academic and athletic
achievements. The school's football team recently claimed the state
championship, beating Monticello at Southern Utah University while the
volleyball team took second place in 1A. The RHS girl’s cross country team also
made history by finishing second in state, marking the highest placement ever
for the program.
In
addition to these athletic successes, Rich High School has also excelled in
academics. The school was named the 1A academic state champion, with the
highest GPA in both football and volleyball. Six seniors were also recognized
for achieving academic all-state status.
The
Rich High School Honor Society banquet was held on Thursday, November 9, and
the chapter proudly inducted 54 new members.
One
other highlight was a field trip taken by many of our students that participate
in Bridgerland Tech. classes to Central Valley Machine shop in Logan. The leadership at CVM were very impressed
with our students and their knowledge.
Many students were invited to apply for positions even while they
further their education in this field.
We
are incredibly proud of our students, coaches, teachers, and community for all
of their hard work and dedication. It is
our goal to help our students succeed in all aspects of life. We are incredibly
grateful for the support of our community and it has been exciting to see all
of the support for our youth.
Rich High School has already begun practicing for our winter
sports seasons. We look forward to
seeing what the next few months have in store.
Just as a reminder, the 1st trimester will conclude on
Thursday, November 16. We hope that all
students and their families will have a great Thanksgiving break and enjoy time
with family and friends.
