RANDOLPH, Utah.
December 17, 2014. Candy Cornia
and Judy Stewart, have been asked to make arrangements and host the conference
for the Utah Association of Conservation Districts (UACD). The last time Rich County hosted this
conference was in 1994.
The ladies have set the date of May 27 and 28, 2015. They choose these dates because the needed to
obtain housing for the conference and needed to hold the conference prior to
the busy summer season at Garden City.
They were able to secure 55 rooms.
There will be two tour busses that will bring the attendees to the
area. Meetings will be held the first
day of the conference. The second day
will be a tour of the County. The busses
will take the attendees around the lake and then over to the Randolph area. The ladies noted that suggestions of places
that would be of interest to this group would be appreciated. They had come to the Commission to ask for
some help with funding to be able to host this conference. They were given $2,500 to help make sure this
activity would be successful.
