RANDOLPH, Utah. July 1, 2020. Brian and Angela Lundgreen
appealed the denial of the Rich County P & Z for a short term rental
conditional use. Mitch Poulsen of the
Bear Lake Regional Commission who runs P & Z said that the ruling was
unclear. It seems that the Commission
used the denial to express frustration with everything that the short term
rentals are doing. The Lundgreen
application was complete and met the requirements. Previous owners of the property were
illegally renting the property but the Lundgreens have remodeled and have
brought the facility up to code and provided more parking. Commissioners overruled the planning commission
and gave them a short term rental approval.
