Winterfest is ready for you Are You Ready?

 

The Bear Lake Monster Winterfest is Bear Lake’s biggest annual winter event. The next time this family friendly event is being held is on January 27-29, 2023. Most activities take place in the Utah Bear Lake State Park Marina and Sunrise Resort & Event Center. The state parks entrance fee at the Marina will be waived for those attending the event, with a hope that you’ll donate to The Family Place non-profit for which the event is fundraising. The event is put on by the Bear Lake Rendezvous Chamber of Commerce, Bear Lake Valley Convention & Visitors Bureau, Garden City Fire District, and Bear Lake State Park.

Monster Winter Sports & Trails Day

Friday 9am – 3pm  Logan Canyon Sinks Area & Bear Lake Overlook Rest Stop Area

This FREE event provides an opportunity to try winter sports. There will be fat-tire bikes, snowshoes, snowmobiles, and tubes (for the kids) provided by Epic Recreation & Beaver Creek Lodge. Free hot cocoa & treats.

Monster Taste of Bear Lake

Friday 5pm – 8pm     Sunrise Resort and Event Center – Sunrise Hall

Local restaurant specialties. $3/ticket – no minimum, no maximum.

Monster Winterfest Social

Monster Cisco Disco & Tournament

Saturday
6am-noon – Fish must be caught between these times
7am-9am – Cisco Disco Free Breakfast & Dipnets to borrow
11am-noon – Fish must be entered at the marina at this time

Dip net for Cisco fish on the east side of Bear Lake at dawn then enter your BIGGEST little Cisco fish in the tournament. Kid category and adult category both have great prizes. No cost to enter the contest!

Monster 5K Run/Walk

Saturday  8:30-9:30am – Packet pickup   10am – Race Begins

Register in advance: Adults $25, Children $15. Costume contest. Learn more.

Monster Chili Cook-off

Saturday 10am – 2:00pm   State Park Marina      10am – Cook Check-in

1:00pm – Formal Judging and public sampling after

Judges will determine who has the best chili. Great prizes will be given to winners at the Awards Ceremony.  Cook registration is FREE. Learn more.

Monster Cardboard Boat Regatta

Saturday
11am-Noon – Check-in your vessel; Get wave assignment; 

Under 16 year old only grouped together in one wave

Noon – Competition begins

Build your boat at home and bring it. Check the rules but then be creative as you can. The race is on! Learn more.

“Go jump in a lake!” and help raise funds for The Family Place charity located in Garden City.

Costumes highly encouraged as there will be various prizes for groups and individuals. $35 per jumper includes an event hoodie for pre-plunge online registration.
