Garden City Fire Department Report-Leonard O'Reilley

No acceptable housekeeping bids have been submitted. Onr bid has been submitted to pour the cement in front of the bay doors on the north and south sides. Another company has promised to submit one in a couple days.

The brush 43 unit is still awaiting warranty tank repair. The Chief called Forestry and State Land to request a brush truck tank to be on a loan program.  There were none available so the request will be noted and he will be notified if one becomes available. A new tank could be purchased but it would be $5500 and not delivered for 6-8 months.  He will see if there is a company that can do plastic welding.

Many citizens were concerned about the “action” at the marina last Saturday. The fireboat was put into service and was used on a training exercise with Idaho. Everything went well.

The responses for the month were:

1 - House fire

1 - Semi-truck crash with extrication

3 - Carbon Monoxide Alarms

4 -  Fire Alarms

3 - Propane emergences

20-Medical calls

15-Short Term Rental Inspections

6 - Business Inspection

1 - Electrical explosion/fire
