and Sweetwater Townhome plans were assigned to come back in July according to
P&Z report.

Hearing for the 2024 Budgets were approved with some discussion.
18 Short
Term Rentals were approved after meeting parking and fire inspections.
Ordinance
#23-03 changing the commercial setbacks needs more work and will be reviewed in
July.
An Ordinance
updating Building permit requirements was approved.
Kathy Hislop
was appointed to the Food Pantry Board.
Council
Member Reports:
Ken Hansen
reported on the well by Sweetwater. It is finished and is being tested. The
boilers from the pool area are for sale as are some other articles from the
pool.
Martel
Menlove met with the Outdoor Recreation group. They discussed the parking problems
in Logan Canyon.
Pat said
that Raspberry Days is in good shape. The theme for 2023 is “Made in America”.
Mayor Mike
reported on the July 3rd celebration. There will be food trucks at
Heritage Park and a free concert. 4,000 ping pong balls with prizes printed on
them will be dropped by a helicopter and lastly the fireworks will begin about
10:00.
He also
reported on his meeting with UDOT. There is a newly painted truck lane from the
Catchnet system to Shundahai area. The brake check area will be manned at the
top of Logan Canyon. Also, more signs from Brigham City to Logan will alert
truck drivers that the brake check area will require every truck to stop and be
inspected. UDOT is looking at a light of some sort on the catchnet area.
The canal
will be inspected by6 a geotech company to figure out what went wrong. The
canal company is hoping to get the canal fixed as soon as possible.
